This was super annoying crashing 2-3 times per hour at launch and loosing progress and then they added a backend to save you game and reload everything in but that was still 20 second freezes instead of straight up crashing.
It's actually crazy how long it took to fix it's probably the most severe and consistent crashing bug I've ever experienced.
