Yeah exactly for the reason you said. At some point over 99% of the CPU and RAM were in use by Windows indexing my desktop. Running slow is an understatement haha. I moved my desktop to my bigger HDD to make room on my SSD for stuff that needs faster access, then windows suddenly got incredibly slow. Opening a folder to see thumbnails would practically grind everything to a halt, thumbnails appearing 1 every few seconds or not at all. All for quick access? Completely the opposite. Thankfully task manager is there to figure out the culprits :)
