I mean, if someone still buys a a digital game in the absence of physical, they're still choosing digital over nothing. This shows that the lack of a physical release is not enough to deter them buying and playing a game. |
Choosing digital over nothing =/= choosing digital over physical. Sony treats that cherry-picked 85% number as proof that consumers prefer digital. And on top of that they assume people will choose PlayStation digital over PC digital, if forced to go all digital.
