The second part of the Monday gaming news:
Remember your Paradox account? No? Well you might want to look into that because it could be deleted next year

Paradox Interactive, that studio that publishes all those grand strategy games with oodles of DLC, announced via a forum thread and a post on X earlier this week that inactive Paradox accounts will be "cleaned up" come March of next year. In other words, those accounts will be deleted if they don't show some sign of life in the intervening months.
The posts clarify that an inactive account is one that hasn't logged in since Sep. 2025, and Paradox staff forum account Elmaze said the "maintenance event" is happening because getting rid of excess accounts in the database "helps us maintain performance, reduce clutter, and keep our systems healthy for active players." And to be clear, logging in via a game launcher counts—you don't have to log into the Paradox website or anything.
That means the upcoming housecleaning likely only concerns a tiny number of people anyway—if you're any kind of active Paradox player, you'll be fine. Local save files and owned games will be unaffected either way since they aren't managed by the account. The main thing Paradox accounts are used for is multiplayer, and if you aren't attached to your old info or forum badges, you can always just make a new one.
New Sims 4 update cuts back on excessive notifications—you can finally silence your phone, and the grim reaper will try to recruit you less

The Sims 4 is a noisy game, especially once you've piled on a few expansion packs. You're constantly fielding stray notifications and unsolicited calls from acquaintances asking you for advice, and before you know it you've soiled your pants and bowling night is ruined. Thankfully, the headlining note in a recent Sims 4 patch is a stab at "clearing the noise."
Danganronpa 2x2 remaster will include a 'slayhem' alternate story mode with '20% more content' and a 3D world map, but it's been delayed to 2027

Last year Spike Chunsoft announced a remaster of divisive visual novel sequel Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair to be called Danganronpa 2x2. Intriguingly, said remaster will also include an alternate storyline, so if you don't want to suffer through the original story again you can experience a different version of events playing out on its murder island deathtrap.
Originally scheduled for a 2026 release, Danganronpa 2x2 has now been shifted to early 2027, Spike Chunsoft says in a recent announcement. Said announcement does finally offer some more details on what will be included in the remaster, however. The cast are getting new character portraits, and that lame sidescrolling world map is being replaced with a 3D map, with optional fast travel.
Another self-own for Sony: Marvel Tōkon's PC version is unavailable in over 100 countries thanks to our old friend PSN again

Remember how Sony sneakily added a PSN account requirement to Helldivers 2 after launch, thereby making it unplayable in the long list countries PSN still hasn't been rolled out to? And then Sony region-restricted a bunch of PC ports in those same countries, like God of War Ragnarok, Spider-Man 2, Ghost of Tsushima, and The Last of Us 2 Remastered? And then remember how people complained so much that was all undone?
Apparently Sony forgot the last step, because upcoming tag fighter Marvel Tōkon has been region-restricted on Steam in 132 countries that don't have access to PSN.
WoW server suffers outbreak after a debuff breaches containment, giving me flashbacks to a 21-year-old incident so large Covid-19 researchers referenced it

World of Warcraft's had another brush with a digital plague—on the Moon Guard US server, capital cities were overcome with waves of toxic activity that saw vitriol line the streets. But enough about trade chat—there was also a debuff spreading around and killing people.
The incident occurred late last week, when Stormwind was suddenly assailed by AoE markers and explosions of green slime—captured here by meggoart on Bluesky, you can cleanly see the debuff melting the faces off innocent players by the Trader's Post (thanks, WoWHead).
Cheaters have infested Meccha Chameleon as dishonest players scan images and auto paint their models

The extent to which some will try to feign skill, whether it be cheating in games or in other activities, has always baffled me. Why can't people just be ok with sucking at things? In this case I'm talking about Meccha Chameleon—you know, the casual fun game you're meant to play with friends.
It turns out that some Meccha Chameleon lobbies have been invaded by people who have so little self esteem that they'll use a cheating program to scan an image and print it on their character to hide from the seekers.
>> Obviously sad, but it was to be expected. Losers do what do losers always do.
Please excuse my bad English.
