Too slow? Well, compared to other FFs I guess.

No depth? And the other systems had depth? O_o FF IX battle system is basically all other FF's battle system with a few tweaks.

Limit breaks? There were none :P But they weren't all that bad. I remember Steiner being able to hit in the 6000s but when he was in Trance he was able to hit 9999s with a normal hit. Not exactly bad.

my Steiner was able to hit 9999 without trance so trance got pretty much useless and it just pales in comparison to lionheart and Omnislash. Those limits were just beastly!
