I've tried to stop my participation in the tribalism as a result cause my experience in the non video game related forums made me realize it was kinda dumb. The tribalism has seemed to be such a magnet for engagement that most discussion happens within the most controversial threads, that I find myself posting infrequently in spite of visiting the site to check for news almost daily (hell, its been a reflex of mine for years now, as I'll absent mindedly type in the url when bored). |
ahhhhh it's like rooting for your favorite football team, or verbally trashing the other one. It's part of being a fan and human.
