To me and i think many others, physical games are a part of the gaming culture, its like taking away music concerts,its a part of it!

I think a lot of people haven't really thought too much about this. It's often all about consumer rights, money and all that. But we (myself included) often forget about the cultural and social aspects of our hobby. This "gaming" culture, which includes everything from the actual games themselves to how we incorporate gaming in our lifes, defines us not only as players, but as people. And deleting physical media from the equation takes away a huge part of our identity.

Even people that have been "fully digital" for a while will be affected by this. Because even if they don't buy physical games, the existance of physical gaming shapes their own ecosystem as well to a certain degree. Things will change for them as well, both as consumers and as players. They just don't want to see it.
