Personally, I love this. One of two things will happen.
One, and most likely, Xbox and Nintendo follow suit, games are more expensive, no second hand market, no one bats an eye, indie and AA games become much more attractive.
Two, Xbox and Nintendo don’t follow suit, Sony gets shit pushed in badly, we get another gen of redemption Sony à la PS3 gen, which happens to be the last gen Sony was worth a shit when it comes to making games.
