We need to define what "rarely" means in the grand scheme of the overall studio health.

Live service games like Destiny are always using money to create content and keep employing staff. If their profits only came at times when they released major paid content, then it makes sense that they weren't operating at profits 100% of their existence. I don't believe they used like a gatcha system of sorts.

I'm not saying that Destiny 2 was sustainable based on how development and management went. But it sounds like a sensational to explain that they rarely made a profit without indicating what that rare profit meant against money being used.
