I don't play Smite or Smite 2, but... when I see that my mind goes straight to "that's just smite".
What they really needed was to stand out from smite, ie. look nothing like it.
And they needed to do something that drastically changed up the game from smite.
I only watcheda few minuets of that video, but nothing there had me going "yeah thats a new take on x,y,z"
It is a copy of a game, that only got success from being among the first of its kind in its genre.
That does nothing to stand out, or improve on the formula.
Why should people care for it?
This is why it flops (ontop of everything else).
