This reminds me of Tesla vs Thomas Edison in the race of electricity standards. Tesla thought DC was better and Edison thought AC was better. But Tesla pointed out how dangerous AC could be since some people had already died from mishandling the AC and not being safe. So he said that this was a reason why society should use DC instead. Well we all know how that went.
