Then somebody did the math and it turned out to be one or two landfills worth of trash if you threw away every PS4 game ever made.
Edit: Oh and gaming taking up 5% of household electricity when you include mobile games just proves my electricity usage point. Once you take out mobile phones and people trying to run a PC that needs 450 watts on a 450 watt PSU I bet that drops to 3%-4%.

Requires rare earth metals strip-mined in third world countries, uses as much electricity as necessary utilities, is manufactured by companies known for pollution and labor violations and it's a gReEN hObBy? Seriously? A GrEEn hObBY? I don't even care, I play video-games too, but that is delusional.

Just like how you failed to put the carbon emissions into perspective you failed to put the rare earth mineral mining into perspective. Just one AI server tower uses over thirty times as many rare earth minerals as a game console. Probably 100 times more. The mining needed for a game console is nothing and so are the CO2 emisions. And you simply refused to acknowledge that electricity usage is a drop in the bucket compared to everyday energy use. It's a green hobby because it uses far less energy and materials than going out.
A lot of "Environmental Sites" are funded by big oil to blame consumers for CO2. The website you relied on is probably one of them. Edit: Please stop with the pseudo-environmentalism, while trying to claim that others are pseudo-environmentalists. Carbon-footprint-style environmentalism articles reek of big oil influence. Stop using them.
