I feel like Helix and whatever additional SKU’s they make is gonna get pushed out another year or two than anticipated if they’re going back to the drawing board of sorts to adapt to current market conditions.

Asha also mentions at wanting to lower costs of current gen pricing, something that she mentioned when she first became CEO. Wanting a healthy 9th gen Xbox installbase, which she’s already said is not in a healthy place. If they’re able to lower costs in a meaningful way by this holiday season in time for Gears, GTA 6, Fable, etc, that can definitely liven up console sales for a good amount of time while they get the extra time in developing Helix further.

Unless the RAM and storage issues get any better I don't see how they can lower prices without taking a big hit. If they say lose an extra $100 per console sold that is $100 million for every 1 million consoles sold.

I do agree with what she is saying. Console prices do need to come down and next gen Xbox can't just be one premium console that costs over $1,000. They need a more entry level console that is $500/$600. Even if that is barely more powerful than the Series X.

Look at Nintendo. The Wii was essentially a GameCube powerwise and the Switch a Wii U powerwise. Obviously the Wii added waggle and the Switch a hybrid.

Edit:

Sharma in the same interview "We will have to empower customers to have very flexible storage offerings."

I wonder if we will get a 512GB Series X digital, so there is a cheaper SKU available. That would bring the price from $600 to likely $550.
