This thread brings back fond memories of breaking peoples arms with my club after they tried to rob me. For about two years I was the night manager at a large gas station/small grocery store/truckstop.
I had the hollow metal handle off of one of these 
. I filled about 1/3 of the handle (at the top. The part that I strike people with) with lead to give it some weight. It had a nice grip and was very easy to use (bats take too long to swing).
