SOFTWARE & DRIVERS

NVIDIA GeForce 610.47 Driver Brings Stutters to G-Sync Owners, Completely Breaks Smooth Motion
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/nvidia-geforce-610-47-driver-brings-stutters-to-g-sync-owners-completely-breaks-smooth-motion/
Last month, NVIDIA released its latest driver for its graphics cards, the NVIDIA GeForce 610.47 driver. That driver also added some settings for DLSS 5, though there is currently no way to enable it. However, it appears that this driver has also introduced some annoying bugs and issues.
Let’s start with the most important one. From the looks of it, the NVIDIA GeForce 610.47 driver brings stutters on owners of G-Sync monitors. According to reports, when you enable G-Sync, you get an extremely unstable framerate with stutters.
The good news is that there’s a workaround for this issue. The downside is that it requires completely disabling G-Sync. As a result, G-Sync users currently have two options: they can either roll back to the previous driver or continue using the latest driver with G-Sync turned off.
The other bug that was introduced with the NVIDIA GeForce 610.47 driver is related to Smooth Motion. According to numerous reports, NVIDIA users are crashing to the desktop as soon as they enable Smooth Motion in multiple games. This is particularly disappointing for those who relied on Smooth Motion to improve performance and smoothness in games that do not support DLSS 4 Frame Generation.
NVIDIA’s Manuel has confirmed these two issues. According to him, both of them will be fixed in the next driver. Sadly, though, we don’t have any ETA for when it will come out.

MODS, EMULATORS & FAN PROJECTS

Playstation 4 Emulator, shadPS4, Has Received Its Largets Update to Date
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/playstation-4-emulator-shadps4-has-received-its-largets-update-to-date/
The team behind the best PlayStation 4 emulator, shadPS4, has released a new version of it. According to the devs, shadPS4 v0.16.0 is their largest update to date. So, let’s take a closer look at it.
shadPS4 v0.16.0 introduces the foundation of a new configuration architecture. This modernized system simplifies settings management, improves game-specific configuration handling, and lays the groundwork for future features.
This new version also introduces an OpenAL-based audio backend. This work establishes a more flexible and portable audio foundation for future improvements while continuing to expand compatibility with PS4 audio functionality.
shadPS4 v0.16.0 also adds initial camera emulation support. This will bring them closer to supporting titles and applications that rely on PlayStation Camera functionality. Not only that but we get local multiplayer support. Multiple users can now enjoy supported games together through the new local multiplayer infrastructure, further expanding gameplay possibilities within the emulator.
And that’s not all. The team has also made some graphical tweaks and improvements. For instance, they’ve added numerous Vulkan fixes that address validation errors, synchronization issues, resource destruction order problems, swapchain handling, and presentation stability. These changes significantly reduce crashes and improve reliability across a wide range of hardware.
Furthermore, the team has added several fixes that target GPU synchronization hazards, stale GPU memory handling, write-after-write scenarios, image layout transitions, and memory protection updates. Together, these changes improve rendering correctness and reduce graphical corruption.
shadPS4 v0.16.0 comes with a large collection of mipmapping fixes that resolve texture quality issues and rendering artifacts in various titles. Support has also been expanded for more advanced pipeline configurations, including additional tessellation and geometry shader combinations required by modern PS4 titles. Plus, the team has upgraded the shader recompiler and GCN decoder. This will benefit games that heavily utilize PlayStation 4 Pro (“Neo”) GPU features.

Final Version of Medal of Honor 1999 Unreal Engine 4 Fan Remake Released
https://www.dsogaming.com/news/final-version-of-medal-of-honor-1999-unreal-engine-4-fan-remake-released/
In April 2026, we shared a fan remake of the PS1 Medal of Honor 1999 game in Unreal Engine 4. And yesterday, modder ‘Elber’ released its final version. So, if you haven’t tried it, I highly recommend doing so.
What’s really cool here is that, unlike all the other remakes we’ve shared, this project allows you to play the entire MoH 1999 game. It does not just remake one or two levels from it. PC gamers can enjoy the whole game.
In Version 1.1, Elber added a cut mission as additional content. He also made numerous tweaks and improvements based on the feedback he has received. Sadly, though, we don’t have a more detailed changelog for it. So, I don’t really know what exactly has been changed or tweaked.
Elber states that Version 1.1 will be the final version of the remake. As such, I recommend downloading it and giving it a go. You can download it from this link.
This is a really cool fan remake of a classic game. So, don’t sleep on it. Graphically, it does not come close to most of the other fan remakes we’ve shared. However, MoH die-hard fans may appreciate its “old-school” style. If you are one of them, you should check it out.
