Depends if you were rooting for an arrogant self-righteous douche bag or for the struggling entrepreneurs he violently put down :p
But a serious question: What happens when a self driving AI car kills someone, accidental, glitch, who is held accountable. Will the whole 'fleet' be recalled to fix the AI system. Humans kill about 1.2 million people on the road yearly of which 300K DUI deaths yearly. At least AI doesn't get drunk.
However especially in the US, driving is synonymous with 'freedom'. Do people want to give driving and be fine being a passenger. What if an AI car colludes with a human operated car, who's at fault. What if an AI car kills a pedestrian or cyclist. Do we all need to start wearing safety transponders to survive with AI traffic. Can self operating cars be hacked, instead of one car driving into a crowd as terrorist act, imagine a mass car attack like the pager attack. Same with drone swarms. AI assisted attack on air traffic control, power grids, nuclear plants.
AI isn't good or bad, the people that make/use AI are, as well as reckless, impatient, short sighted with the only goal to make money.
