Switch selling 150+ million systems surprised me a lot. I didn't necessarily think it would flop, but 50-80 million systems sold was what I would have guessed in a good case scenario.
The insane price increase in consoles was unexpected, and a very bad surprise.
Sony and Microsoft's constantly changing strategies when it comes to exclusives have been surprising and just overall weird. Microsoft in particular seem to not know what they want to do in that regard, their messaging has been in all kinds of directions. I genuinely don't understand their strategy, buying so many studios, just to become the biggest third party publisher doesn't make sense to me.
