Funny how Nvidia knew that memory prices would go up and were ready for it, yet their new Grace products have gone up massively in price because of the memory and AMD GPUs are the ones that have been affected the least by that VRAM pricing increase.

Asus is treating the Ally like their laptops, with a new model every year, even if there's no new SoC to put inside.
With that said, it would be incredibly funny if Asus came with a SteamOS Ally after their partnership with MSoft for the Xbox branded one.

SKHynix started a rolling stone that will affect all South Korean companies, and maybe some others overseas. And I'm good with it. If they're the ones makig the product in those highly technical jobs, they deserve the same kind of compensation as the higher ups.

An advantage of modern games is that the visual difference between High, Mid and Low settings isn't as big as it used to be years ago, when the contrast between High and Low settings could the same game look completely different, like seeing two different games.
But yeah, those 8GB of VRAM are a ballast that is holding back a few GPUs.
