Trump is now exhibiting a new symptom. He has previously done what is called confabulation where he essentially makes up memories when questioned in an on the spot conversation. But now Trump's memory of his son seems iffy.

"The president made some bizarre remarks during a press conference at the Oval Office on Thursday, prompting further accusations of dementia. While speaking about whether or not he would attend Donald Trump Jr.’s wedding, Trump used a "strange phrase" to speak about his own son.
One reporter asked Trump, "Are you attending your son’s wedding?” which is reportedly taking place in the Bahamas this week, over Memorial Day weekend.
Trump replied,” He’d like me to go. I’m going to try. I said, 'This is not a good time for me.' I have a thing called Iran and other things. He’s a person I’ve known for a long time.” The president’s seemingly overall unbothered approach to his son’s wedding was generally alarming for many, but describing his own son as “a person I’ve known for a long time” rang equally strange. It comes as the daughter of Donald Trump's doctor made a bombshell claim about his health."
