That quote from Spencer never made any sense though. i mean there was a greater chance people built up their digital library more on the 360 than the PS3. And then those games carry over to the XBO while PS3 games are stuck on the PS3, and people would have to start over on PS4 while XBO users would just continue to build. Is there some stat that shows the number of digital titles acquired relative to both platforms? I can only speak for myself, but GWG really contributed to my current library that is playable across three generations of XB hardware... soon to be four. On the PS side, I really have just ones from PS4 i carry forward to the 5 and likely 6. Maybe on the 6 they will address PS3 digital support (and hopefully disc as well). |
There wasn't millions of people playing free to play games like Fortnite on 360 though. The digital library situation was much more developed in PS4/One generation. Also, can't forget that MS made it easy for Sony in 2013 with Xbone because of all the policies that no-one wanted. Without a major screw up from Sony, MS won't be able to compete again I think. This thread and the optimism in it are bizarre as, the XBS consoles right now are selling similarly to the Wii U and there next console is going to be an expensive console/PC hybrid. Where's the resurgence going to come from?
