The Talos Principle 3, the third and final chapter of one of the least-expected videogame series of all time, was made official today, and much like the jump from the first game to the second, it promises a familiar slate of puzzles wrapped in a very different sort of narrative experience.

Embark says the 'pressure of a monthly cycle' is holding Arc Raiders back, so it's slowing down: Major updates will come every 6 months from now on

Embark is slowing down the live service treadmill for Arc Raiders. The hit extraction shooter will now receive major updates twice a year. That's in contrast to its current run of monthly updates, which have been hit or miss in the seven months since launch.
Arc Raiders' bi-annual updates will be "larger in scale, more impactful, with the goal to genuinely change how you play the game," according to a blog post penned by executive producer Aleksander Grøndal.

Subnautica 2 devs say it's 'bigger and more polished' than any of the studio's previous early access launches

On the eve of Subnautica 2's early access launch, calling it hotly anticipated would be a wild understatement. It's Steam's most-wanted game, as over 5 million users have added it to their wishlist in the run-up to launch. The masses yearn for the deep.
Despite the high-stakes hype, Subnautica 2's developers at Unknown Worlds say they're confident that they're setting a new watermark for the studio. In an interview with PC Gamer, Unknown Worlds game design lead Anthony Gallegos and creative media producer Scott MacDonald said Subnautica 2 should be the studio's most impressive early access launch to date—but they're just as excited for the dirty work of building out its future updates with the help of community input.

Turn-based tactics game Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 will release next week to coincide with a Warhammer Skulls event stacked with reveals

The annual Warhammer Skulls event has mutated over the years, going from a week of discounts and freebies involving Warhammer-themed videogames to a showcase of upcoming additions to that growing library of ultraviolence. This year's edition will be no different, but we're also getting a whole game earlier than expected, with turn-based tactics-em-up Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus 2 being released during the Skulls event on May 21.

Bungie is turning Marathon's loot dial to 11 ahead of its first wipe, opening up Cryo Archive 24/7

As much as I love Marathon, its progression hits like a brick wall after a few dozen hours. Quests become longer multi-step treks across maps around the same time high-tier upgrades start asking for dozens of items that I've encountered maybe four times.
These are issues that Bungie is seemingly testing against in an "end of season' update coming on May 19. The big highlight? Locked room keys—an extremely rare drop that grants access to the best loot rooms on Tau Ceti—are becoming guaranteed drops for on-map events.

Capcom says it's eyeing Devil May Cry, Ace Attorney, Dragon's Dogma for 'sequels, remakes, ports, etc.', and I'll gladly take the excuse to get my hopes up

It has been another very good year for Capcom. The company just released its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 2026, continuing a streak of record profits by completing its 11th consecutive year of operating profit growth over 10%. Those profits were driven by year-over-year increases in games sales—particularly the breakaway success of Resident Evil Requiem.
Aside from detailing the last year's wins, Capcom's financial report also lays out its growth strategies for the years ahead. Those grand plans, it says, aim not just to strengthen its "leading brands"—like Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter—but also to elevate its other series so they can deliver similar results. And it offered a glimpse of which franchises it might be focusing on next.
