The second part of the Tuesday gaming news:
PC players aren't Grand Theft Auto 6's 'core' audience, Take-Two CEO says, and that's why we have to wait for it

Grand Theft Auto 6 will be out on November 19, unless it gets delayed again (never say never), but only on console. There's no doubt that GTA 6 will come to PC eventually, but officially, it still hasn't been announced for our platform and therefore does not exist. Why? In an interview with Bloomberg, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said the company's priority is "serving the core," and that, apparently, is console.
>> I better don't say anything.
Microsoft ended MS-DOS support 20 years ago, but the latest update for the best roguelike ever made still supports it anyway

September 14, 2000: That's the day Microsoft released Windows Millennium Edition, the second-worst iteration of Windows in its long history. It also marked the final release of MS-DOS, which for so many years had undergirded its operating systems. In 2006—two decades ago—Microsoft ceased long-term support for Windows 98 and Me, meaning that MS-DOS's life was truly over.
Two days ago the latest update for NetHack dropped, and you bet your ass it still supports MS-DOS, just like it did when it first released in 1987.
We already covered NetHack's surprise 5.0 release and some of its fun patch notes, but I had to dwell on this for just a minute. In the era of multimillion-dollar games releasing and shutting down within weeks, here's a game that's been steadily updated since 1987. It's only two years younger than Windows.
What colour car would James Bond never drive? IO had to have multiple meetings just to figure it out for 007 First Light while huge plot decisions went down easy

I'm a little nervous about 007 First Light, which—from what I've seen—seems to play everything a bit too safe and linear to really leverage IO's strengths as a studio. When I played First Light, I found myself asking if, perhaps, the Bond license-holders at Amazon were a bit precious about their character. Maybe IO simply couldn't get as whacky with someone else's intellectual property as it can with Agent 47.
But I guess I was wide of the mark, because when I asked 007 First Light franchise art director Rasmus Poulsen about what it was like to work with someone else's license, he said it was actually surprisingly easy to nail down the big stuff, like making 007 a young'un.

The things that actually demanded time to hammer out were issues you and I wouldn't dedicate a second's thought to. "Really weird things get discussed, right? … What colour car would Bond never drive? People think one thing, people think another thing. We go like, 'Well that's a weird discussion,'" recalls Poulsen.
I love the thought of geysers in Minecraft, but hate the fact I know just how my friends will use them
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/survival-crafting/i-love-the-thought-of-geysers-in-minecraft-but-hate-the-fact-i-know-just-how-my-friends-will-use-them/
I'm pretty sure everyone has a group of friends they actively avoid playing Minecraft with, solely because you know the second you leave your chests or base unattended it will be wrecked and ruined. Don't get me wrong, I love a little giggle with my pals as much as the next person, but the number of times I've lost an inventory full of valuables because of a prank my friends have pulled have been enough to stop me from playing for a while in the past.
From elaborate piston traps to good old-fashioned TNT, the creative bounds of messing with your friends have no limits in Minecraft, and the upcoming Chaos Cubed update will inherently make this worse through adding the ability to craft geysers. With a magma block, a potent sulphur block, and a little pool of water, you can now create a blast of water that will send an unsuspecting player hurtling into the air.
Windrose should no longer threaten to significantly reduce your SSD's lifespan thanks to a fresh patch

Windrose breached early access late last month. As you might expect from something a few port calls shy of a full release, it's not all been smooth sailing, with a number of Steam users saying that the pirate versus environment game has been hammering their SSDs. Thankfully, developer Kraken Express have now released a patch.
Please excuse my bad English.
