Thursday gaming news, part two:
The Thick as Thieves campaign will be 'at least four hours' in length, which is pretty short, but on the upside it's a whole lot cheaper than I ever would've guessed

My heart sank a little lower than usual today as Otherside Entertainment announced that Thick as Thieves, the stealth-focused heist game set to arrive in May, will launch with a regular, undiscounted, all-day every-day price of $5/£5/€5.
Mewgenics' biggest patch yet is on the way with a huge balance overhaul, changes to the breeding system, and 'Hitler's suicide can no longer miss', which is a relief

Mewgenics is easily my favourite game of 2026 so far—in fact, I gave it 92% in our review. I love its emergent storytelling, its chaotic build-crafting, and its incredible depth. What I wouldn't claim, however, is that it's perfectly balanced.

The good news is, the upcoming 1.1 patch is taking a very serious look at these pain points—with a much more dramatic suite of changes than I expected. Though a date isn't set yet for when this update will go live on the main branch, it's already available as a beta, and the developers have put out a full set of patch notes.
6 weeks after releasing Greedfall: The Dying World, famed eurojank studio Spiders is closing
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/6-weeks-after-releasing-greedfall-the-dying-world-famed-eurojank-studio-spiders-is-closing/
Less than two months after the 1.0 release of Greedfall: The Dying World, French RPG studio Spiders is closing its doors. The surprise shutdown is fallout from the financial troubles of parent company Nacon, which filed for insolvency in February after its majority shareholder, Bigben Interactive, was unable to meet its own financial obligations.
Chinese-made soulslike Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, set in historical China, is now owned by... Italians?

We didn't care too much for Wuchang: Fallen Feathers when it released last year, but it was nonetheless a notable entry in what you might call the New Wave of Chinese Videogames: A game set in China, developed by a Chinese studio, that attracted global attention. It's a bit ironic, then—and more than a bit baffling—that the property is now owned by an Italian company called Digital Bros., parent of 505 Games.
The next Tales Of remaster has leaked, and it's probably not what you're expecting
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/the-next-tales-of-remaster-has-leaked-and-its-probably-not-what-youre-expecting/
Since the series' 30th anniversary celebrations last year, Bandai Namco has been doling out remasters of the Tales Of games at a steady clip. Last year Tales of Graces f and Tales of Xillia both got the remaster treatment, and in February we got Tales of Berseria.
The first two were welcome: both were PlayStation 3 exclusives and hadn't been released for other platforms (unless you count Tales of Graces, which released for Wii). By comparison Tales of Berseria felt a little unnecessary: the non-remastered version looked fine, both on consoles and PC.
Thankfully, it looks like Bandai Namco is going back to rescuing entries from antiquated platforms. According to a recent PEGI listing, Tales of Eternia Remastered is the next cab off the rank.
You don't actually have to fight Arc Raiders deadly new robot to get its parts
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/third-person-shooter/arc-raiders-turbine-compressor/
Arc Raiders' new Turbines are legit terrifying. I'm not sure if it's peel of thunder that rolls across the map as they drop from the sky like a vengeful robot angel, or how tricky they can be to approach due to all the mines and lightning they throw at you—either way, they're not the easiest foe to defeat with a few players, let alone solo.
Well, the good news is that you don't necessarily need to. As is usual for each new enemy, the Arc Turbine drops the Turbine Compressor material you'll have to use in the current project, Avian Alarm, but you'll also need it to craft the new Powered Descender item (though I'm not sure why you'd want to, considering its effectiveness).
Besides trying to kill Arc Turbines, it turns out that you can get Turbine Compressors from Arc Couriers as well. Similar to Vaporizer Regulators, these are somewhat rare drops considering they're epic materials, but if you hit every Arc Courier you spot, you'll likely get one or two, which is all you need for the project.
>> About the Powered Deswcender, here's an article about the problem some players are having with it (link).
