Exactly, there's a lot of misinformation out there about this whole process and people are just (to quote Jacob Fatu) all gas and no breaks. And for those who are referencing Xbox in comparison, if you think MS is not going to do this either then you have blinders on. They already do 30 day check ins for Game Pass games and they rarely do physical games themselves anymore. So with a player base who is mostly all online and digital they will likely be apart of this as well.
2K also announced today that they will have a 14 day online check in with their titles on PC. So this is happening whether people like it or not. It's 2026 and the majority of the world is online anyways.
