It's more about console collectors than everyday gamers. Everyday gamers won't really have a problem, as you said. But suppose you buy a digital game on your PS5 today and in ten years, you pull the system out of storage because you want to play it, only to find that you can't because the game was de-listed. You bought it. It's on your system. You even hooked it up to the internet... but no soup for you. Sorry. Game is inaccessible.
That's the problem.
