Probably Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney.
The premise of the game is not that hot. Play as a lawyer aka the most document shuffling job in existence. It is a visual novel with very sparse game play.
But it exceeded my expectations and dragged me in with the over the top courtroom drama and convoluting case solutions. And trying to find the contradictions really had a knack in making me feel smart.
It is probably my current favorite series even if it feels a bit dormant with 9 years since the last original entry.
