I'm not big fan of platformers, so let's say Beyond Good & Evil (PC) and Ratchet and Clank 2 (PS2).
Shadow Man (PC) is great action horror, another game of not my genre but well made.
Couple first Harry Potters on GB are pretty much most I've gotten out of the franchise in any form, basically JRPGs.
Couple games that I got in collections I bought for other games in them that caught me by surprise were Mean Streets (first Tex Murphy adventure) and Star Wars: Battlefront (the original). Both games better than the ones I bought the packs for or any other in them.
And I enjoyed Sims 2 much more than expected.
