Not attempting to overthink this thread, or be unncesarily annoying, but I personally dont like to say that a game is disappointing because it didnt click with me, theres a lot of great games that are objectively fantastic, are very well received by the masses, sell very well, and still they just dont appeal to my taste. That has more to do with myself than it does the game, so i wouldnt call them "disappointing".

Id rather comment on games i expected would be good, only for them to release and be exactly the opposite and disappoint not only me, but the majority of their own fandom. Games like Mass Effect Andromeda, Dragon Age Veilguard, Dead Space 3 or REvil 5/6.

DA Veilguard is a particular frustrating case cause the fandom - and me personally - were clamoring for a new DA for years, and when they announced DA Dreadwolf we were very excited. Inquisition was somewhat divisive, so fans where expecting something major with Dreadwolf. Yet every new reveal about the game just keep pissing everyone off little by little until Veilguard finally released to major hate. The game isnt even THAT horrendous or terrible, it had some redeeming elements, but it didnt matter because the whole fandom was sour on it.
