In episode 3 we had Mace Windu, who pretty much beat the crap out of Palpatine and had him at his mercy. Then Yoda went to get the dark lord himself only to be beaten. i mean wtf? Mace was good but nowhere near Yoda levels, and suddenly it turns out that Yoda couldn't defeat Palpatine. Even better, Anakin was supposeably the strongest of them all, you know, the badass Jedi of the galaxy, but suddenly after losing his fight with Obi Wan(!!) he doesn't prosper at all and doesn't destroy Palpatine himslef. There's no logical explanation for this at all. |
Also, didn't Yoda lose his lightsaber during the fight? I haven't seen it for a while but I seem to remember that.
