Part two of the gaming news:

The PC Gaming Show and Future Games Show return in June to brighten up your summer with world premieres, interviews, and fresh demos to install

Recently, the sun has been peeking its warm rays through the clouds, offering a hopeful glimpse at the summer soon to come. It's tempting me to come outside, breathe in the fresh air, frolic in the grass amongst the flowers. I feel a warm, gentle breeze squeak through the open window and caress my cheek. I get up from behind my desk, stand at the back door, and pull the curtains tightly closed to stop the glare on my monitor. I've got games to play, and when the Future Games Show Summer Showcase and FGS Live From Los Angeles hit our screens June 6, and the PC Gaming Show airs June 7, I'll have a whole lot more to add to my wishlist. I don't have time for distractions.
Tune in at 12 pm PDT, 3 pm EDT, and 8 pm BST, Sunday, June 7 on Twitch, X, YouTube, Steam, basically anywhere you can stream a video, because this next PC Gaming Show is going to be a doozy—I would know, I work on it.

Morbid Metal is a deeply satisfying hack 'n' slash with some subpar roguelike elements, but hey, that's what early access is for
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/roguelike/morbid-metal-is-a-deeply-satisfying-hack-n-slash-with-some-subpar-roguelike-elements-but-hey-thats-what-early-access-is-for/
Morbid Metal released into early access last week, and I finally got the chance to sit down and play it—and while developer Screen Juice's new roguelike needs some proper work on its secondary elements, the good news is that the bones are good. Really good, in fact.

Brace yourselves, Jetpack Cat is coming to Overwatch Stadium this season and players are already prepping for it: 'My sniper build is gonna demolish her'

Overwatch Stadium is a lawless place, an alternate reality to bog-standard Overwatch which the light of god does not touch. But brace yourself, because it's about to get even more cursed with the two new additions of Ramattra and the dreaded Jetpack Cat.

Metro author Dmitry Glukhovsky says the next game in the series 'will be darker than anything you've seen before'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/fps/metro-author-dmitry-glukhovsky-says-the-next-game-in-the-series-will-be-darker-than-anything-youve-seen-before/
Yesterday was a big day for me, because yesterday saw the first official confirmation of Metro 2039 as the next game in 4A's outstanding post-apocalyptic train-riding series. It wasn't actually a reveal—that won't happen until Thursday, April 16—but it was a title and a commitment, and by god I'll take it.

Writing on X, Metro 2033 author Dmitry Glukhovsky answered precisely none of those questions. He did, however, promise the best worst time yet, saying Metro 2039 will be seriously dark.

'Tarkov for life': After announcing a new sci-fi shooter, Escape from Tarkov's creator assures players that there's enough room in his heart for both

There's been just a little confusion surrounding the upcoming hardcore sci-fi shooter Fragmentary Order, in that while Escape from Tarkov's creator, Nikita Buyanov, is involved it was not known to what extent, and whether it would have an impact on Tarkov. But this has now been cleared up by Buyanov himself.
"Frago (Fragmentary Order) is being developed by [a] separate company that I created, full of great people around the globe," Buyanov explains in a social media post. "Escape from Tarkov is my life, and I'm continuing working on it too with my BSG (Battlestate Games) family no matter what. Tarkov for life."

Hades 2 patch is a smorgasbord of tiny additions, adding more closure to sidequests, an extra level of zoom, buffs to boons, and more romance

A couple of weeks ago the Xbox and PlayStation 5 port of Hades 2 was announced with a memorably thirsty trailer that doubled as a hint about an impending update, featuring a glimpse of a new scene involving Heracles in a bath. Turns out, Supergiant has been working on a lot more than new hot tub content, with post-launch patch two out now on Steam. Here are the featured additions from the top of a significant set of patch notes.

The director of sandbox vampire RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker doesn't mind seeing it compared to The Witcher 3, which he also directed: 'I feel really confident about our game'

In The Blood of Dawnwalker, 14th century Europe, still suffering the effects of war and plague, sure looks like the kind of muddy hellhole Geralt would tromp across in The Witcher 3. And its protagonist, the half-vampire Coen, has a similar "almost human but actually something more" vibe to him—a gruff but acceptable monster we need to fight the real villains for us.
When asked if he was comfortable seeing The Blood of Dawnwalker compared to The Witcher 3 by The Game Business, game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz said he was, "Really comfortable. I feel really confident about our game."

After making Mythic+ slightly too easy in World of Warcraft: Midnight, Blizzard's adding new high-end rewards for the sweats
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/world-of-warcraft/after-making-mythic-slightly-too-easy-in-world-of-warcraft-midnight-blizzards-adding-new-high-end-rewards-for-the-sweats/
World of Warcraft's been taking some big swings at its difficulty assumptions in recent years—both adding harder solo and open world content in the form of Delves and Prey, while also making the typically hardcore content slightly easier to get through.
(...)
Which is a bit of a problem if you like pushing Mythic+ keys. MMOs live and die on their rewards structure. Even if you're doing it for the love of the game, it still feels unsatisfying and pointless to do high-level content if you're not getting rewarded for your trouble, as was the case with this season.
Well, Blizzard's moved to fix it. In the upcoming patch, high-end Mythic+ players will be getting some unique rewards, per a post on the forums.
