Crimson Desert Hits 5 Million Sales in Less Than a Month

Pearl Abyss has announced that Crimson Desert has sold 5 million copies on all platforms. The game launched on March 19th, meaning it hit this goal in less than a month. In other words, this is a big commercial success for Pearl Abyss.

Graveyard Keeper 2 was announced this month at the Triple-I Initiative, and to celebrate that the original was made available free for a limited time. It's a sensible way to get people familiar with the series and to build anticipation for the sequel, but there's another upside to this kind of giveaway. As Alex Nichiporchik, CEO of publisher Tinybuild explained on Twitter, it's earned "almost 250k usd from selling DLCs for the original."
And that's just on Steam, where the DLC is currently 80% off. (The giveaway for the base game has ended, I'm afraid.) The main purpose of the giveaway is to draw attention to the upcoming sequel of course, and that seems to have worked as well. In a followup tweet, Nichiporchik announced Graveyard Keeper 2 was in Steam's top 100 most-wishlisted games, having been wishlisted 450,000 times.

Take a look at the first GTA with RTX Remix Path Tracing

Modder ‘gabdeg’ is currently working on an RTX Remix Path Tracing mod for the first classic Grand Theft Auto game. And although there is no ETA for when the mod will come out, the modder shared the first WIP screenshots for it.
The first three screenshots can give us a glimpse at the current state of this RTX Remix Mod. Since this is still a WIP, they do not represent the quality of the final version. Still, they can give you an idea of what Path Tracing can do to such an old game.
Gabdeg has also shared a comparison screenshot. The RTX Remix Path Tracing version is on the left, and the vanilla version is on the right. As you can see, the RTX Remix Mod makes some changes but manages to retain the art style of the original version.
In a way, this RTX Remix Mod reminds me of those for the first Doom games. Doom and GTA use sprites, and they were never meant to be played with Path Tracing. However, in a really bizarre way, they look really cool with it. And hey, if you don’t like it, you can simply skip it. After all, this is a free mod and not an official remaster.
As I said, there is no ETA for when this RTX Remix Mod will come out. Naturally, though, I’ll be sure to keep you posted.
