‘Iran is in no hurry’ to negotiate; ball now in US’s court
The Iranian Tasnim news agency is quoting an informed source as saying that the “ball is in America’s court” and that “Iran is in no hurry” to negotiate.
“Iran presented reasonable initiatives and proposals in the negotiations. The ball is in America’s court to look at the issues realistically,” the source said.
The source accused the US of miscalculating in the negotiations, just as it had done in war, and warned that nothing would change in the Strait of Hormuz “until the United States agrees to a reasonable agreement”.
Iran, the source added, “is in no hurry”.
No date or venue has been set for a possible next round of talks.
Vance says there has been no agreement with Iran after marathon talks
Vice President JD Vance said marathon talks with Iran did not result in an agreement to permanently end the war.
“We have been at it now for 21 hours, and we’ve had a number of substantive discussions with the Iranians. That’s the good news,” Vance said at a press appearance in Islamabad.
“The bad news is that we have not reached an agreement,” he said. “And I think that’s bad news for Iran much more than it’s bad news for the United States of America. So we go back to the United States having not come to an agreement.”
No it's bad news for the 8.3 billion people on Earth, and those in Lebanon in particular. (Minus the billionaires who continue to profit from all this conflict)
