In reference to the Kindle? I’m using it as a demonstration that when you purchase digitally through a platform (even as large as the one owned by Amazon), you’re library can be stripped from you and restricted to a single, fallible device. Granted, I don’t believe you won’t be able to access your Kindle library on other devices, meaning you haven’t fully lost accessibility to your library, but the point still stands.
(My Perry-the-Platypus themed Kindle from Christmas 2012 will have to retire, it seems. :( I actually used to play Minecraft and read some Geronimo Stilton books through that device. Good times!)
