If you don’t find the current line up of Nintendo games as being too appealing to your tastes, then I’m not gonna fight you on it. If, however, all you ever talk about is “I’m TERRIFIED that there won’t be another Nintendo Direct until June!!” or if you’re speaking on behalf of everyone with nonsense like “Nintendo Switch 2 has NO GAMES on the horizon!” then we’ve arrived at the topic of the OP. Also: I would appreciate if you didn’t turn this thread into a personal conviction. |
The thing is you are fighting me on it. Not me personally, but that seems to be the whole point of the thread. To complain that people are not as happy with the current state of gaming, and in particular with Nintendo's output, as you feel is warranted.
So, what kind of response are you hoping for other than the one I gave minus the sarcasm dripping off of it?
And the point you're making is kind of silly. People don't just want hype or directs. They want new games which is kind of a good thing, because the industry kind of dies if they don't. They know that, with Nintendo as the example, games are generally announced in directs before they are released. It's not the directs people want, that's just the next step in the process that ultimately ends with me playing a game. It's like if you're at a restaurant and you say "why doesn't the waiter come to our table already." You don't just really want to see the waiter (unless you're at hooters or something) that is just the next step in the food getting process.
I mean, if Nintendo just shadow dropped Smash tomorrow with no direct, I'd be happy with it, but that's not how the process plays out.
