I resisted digital for as long as I could, then made a full switch when my disc drive broke on my PS4.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II retail version in August 2010 forced me to download steam in order to play it, so that is when I started Steam.
First digital purchase was Sid Meier's Civilization III: Complete for $2.49 in November 2012, it was a great deal and I lost my retail keys.
