| numberwang said: Btw where are the dedicated anti-war protest? No word against Iran war or Israel at the "No Kings" protests: https://www.nokings.org/about-nk The No Kings protests are pro-Democrat controlled opposition, redirecting anger over the Iran war into vague political attacks against "right wing" Trump/ICE while intentionally ignoring wars for Israel. Democrats did the same thing in 2003 turning legitimate anti-war sentiment into anti-Bush to hide Israels role in the conflicts. Obama continued and expanded these wars and there were no protests. |
Yeah the democrats are just as much compromised / infatuated by Israel as the Republicans. Biden was the same.
The whole red vs blue thing came with the 2000 elections. In retrospect it very much feels like a divide and conquer strategy by the ruling elite. Doesn't matter if you vote red or blue, it's the same people pulling the strings behind the curtain. Making sure a 3rd party isn't even considered while keeping people blaming everything on the 'other' side.
Chis Hedges and Bernie Sanders were always against Israel's actions, but yeah Bernie never really condemned Israel and now there is this sudden emphasis on right-wing government. Neither still dare say anything about the support from the evangelical Christian base in the US. 30 to 70 million Christians in the US support Israel for biblical reasons, politically and monetary.
Two years of the Gaza genocide occurred under Biden with democrat approval, Biden didn't reverse Trump's Abraham accords sidelining the Palestinians, didn't reverse moving the US embassy to Jerusalem nor Trump illegally 'giving' the Golan Heights to Israel in 2019. Harris was no better, continuing Biden's stance on Gaza and the Westbank with unconditional support for Israel. Hence why Trump could get back into power by using that anti Biden/Harris movement for the Gaza genocide and falsely promising to put an end to it. Instead he formalized the genocide and ethnic cleansing under the name of 'peace'...
And ofcourse these figures (Chris, Bernie etc) latch on to their biggest support base, the angry left, by joining the blame game onto the right. Left-right it's all meaningless when both sides have exactly the same (non) actions when it comes to Israel's impunity, as well as immigration. Trump made it more visible with ICE yet Biden ramped up putting children in detention camps and deporting them without fair representation.
