Chris Hedges couldn't be more right.

I don't trust figures that have spent their life fighting "antisemitism" and are now being elevated on big platforms with a narrow focus like fighting against the "right-wing Israeli government". It smells like damage containment to protect the larger power structure of media, university, Aipac, Epstein, etc. He falsely claims that Israel is admired by the far right, but of course the far right were the only broad opposition to Jewish power and Hedges called them antisemitic for it. Now with the Gaza destruction and Iran war they have to adjust their tune and start to sound like those far righter that they oppose. Bernie, Noam Chomsky, Jon Steward, Mamdani, Mehdi Hasan etc. are in that same business of redirecting the narrative to a more manageable fight against the "western right wingers".
