Its GPU is also on a relatively old manufacturing node, so it's not competing with newer harder much there. Nintendo's bigger problem is the price of physical carts cutting into their software profits. Which is why this happened. Obviously I don't expect it to be as steep as the price increases we are getting elsewhere. I expect a $50 bump as you say, perhaps later this year if things remain unchanged.
