Wow, it's cheaper than the original Modern Warfare has ever been? I'm not too interested in Call of Duty, not since the original Modern Warfare 2, but I got kind of interested. Sadly it seems to be always online with an Activision account requirement in all game modes, which I'm interpreting to mean single-player as well. |
I played the first COD games on PC back in the day, and CoD 3 on the Wii (a gift from my brother). I haven't played another one since then.
And yea, the always online thing is annoying, but I'm more worried about the Activision account part of it. I'll need to find out if I can play the game without one.
But well, I had to make an account over at Rockstar's thing to play GTA V, so it's not like something like this is new or anything.
**Edit** A quick search tels me that the Activision account is only necessary for online multiplayer. Single player campaign (and local multiplayer) should be accessible without one.

That loss of players would explain why the want to raise the price of V-bucks. If you don't have as many cows to milk, you'll have to milk your existing ones harder. A shame so many people had to loose their jobs.
The delisting of the game has a weird wording on it, at least on the Twitter post, because it says that you'll no longer be able to download it, not buy it. I have the game, it was one of the free games the EGS gave away, and I have downloaded it just in case.
Thanks for keeping us up to date with these things!
