There's always more games, movies, books and comics than can be done in a human lifetime. Sometimes you've already collected that many.
For me, having played hundreds of games in over 30 years, there's also the problem that I want to replay many of my old favorites. But at the same time there's the backlog of tens of games I should deal with and then there's the new things you're eager to see...

Im kinda having the opposite problem, theres a lot of games out there and I have a lot of games in my backlog, but i feel "i have nothing to play now" everytime I finish one, cause i dont wanna start any of the ones i already bought. Suddenly i lost interest. |
I have a whole scale for "i have nothing to play", been saying this for years:
Level 1: nothing to play today because I already did day's quota of ongoing game(s) or I have less than an hour of nothing to do and can't think of anything fitting for such moment
Level 2: just finished game(s) and not starting a bigger continuous one for few days; essentially between games
Level 3: same as 2, but I haven't decided or don't even have clear options on what's going to be the next game
Level 4: same as 3, but I don't really feel like playing anything
