Jacob Freeman likely has goten a not very nice call from someone above him for contradicting Jensen's words on stage about the geometry and such. Because after all, it is an AI filter on top of the frame of the game.
That probably explains why the roofs in the AC Shadows temples were so bright, because the AI model took it for metal instead of roof tiles.
The whole DLSS 5 presentation has now gone from bad to almost catastrophic.
