Israeli minister calls war ‘an enormous blessing for Israel’
Minister Ze’ev Elkin has said discussions about the war should not focus on when it will end, but on “how we can extend and deepen the damage”.
“Every day of the campaign is an enormous blessing for the State of Israel,” said Elkin in comments carried by Israeli Army Radio.
Yesterday, Defence Minister Israel Katz said the Israeli military had authorisation to target any senior Iranian officials in their sights.
The war has killed at least 1,444 people in Iran, 968 in Lebanon and at least 17 people in Israel.
