PS6 and Xbox PC aren't including neural rendering hardware compatibility for nothing but it will be interesting to see their implementations of it and how it differs from Nvidia. I wouldn't be surprised if it goes like Raster Ultra > Ray Tracing > Path Tracing > Neural Rendering in terms of graphics options as next gen gets going.

IIRC, PS6/Helix are including hardware for neural radiance, which enables for rayscasting to be cut early, and then ML, while you're playing the game, is trying to complete the task training itself in real time - basically another level of approximations, but still in 3D space.

This DLSS5 seems like 2D screen space tech, so I don't really like that nVidia feels that way to go in the future is more of that.

And honestly, I find what it does to environments is a mixed bag - I'd like to see all of their examples tone mapped like originals for better comparison, cause some of the examples are uglier for me than original game visuals.
