PC games revenue will outgrow consoles by 2028, analyst predicts
https://www.pcgamer.com/gaming-industry/pc-games-revenue-will-outgrow-consoles-by-2028-analyst-predicts/
According to games industry market research firm Newzoo (PC Gamer's official data partner), PC games revenue has trailed console software sales for over a decade. That, however, is changing. In its 2026 PC and Console report, Newzoo says that PC revenue growth outperformed consoles in 2025 as the industry began to emerge from its "post-2020 plateau."
That's a trend it predicts will continue in the years ahead. Newzoo forecasts that PC revenue will continue at a 6.6% annual growth rate between 2025 and 2028 compared with an expected 4.4% for consoles, projecting that continuing PC games revenue growth will outstrip console sales by 2028.
Newzoo's data, which incorporates sales metrics and user statistics from storefronts across PC and console platforms, indicates PC revenue growth in recent years is being driven by a growing player base—particularly in China, where the number of PC gamers grew 11.7% in 2025.
>> RAM and Storage prices going through the roof surely won’t have any impact of this prediction...

Resident Evil Requiem Mod Lets You Dismember All Dead Zombies
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/resident-evil-requiem-mod-lets-you-dismember-all-dead-zombies/
Modder ‘rthomasv3’ has released a pretty cool mod for Resident Evil Requiem that lets you dismember all dead zombies. This mod will make the game a bit gorier than before, which is something that some of you may appreciate.
Going into more details, this mod allows the dismemberment/sever system to continue working when an enemy is dead. It will not make your weapons more powerful. However, it will let you cut the head of your enemies and prevent them from becoming Blister Heads.
You can go ahead and download the mod from this link. As a bonus, here is one of the funniest mods I’ve seen so far for RE9. This mod replaces the voices of all the Lickers with Michael Jackson. This will completely change the way you feel about those annoying Lickers. It will also make the game more fun for some.
Again, this mod is for entertainment purposes. It’s not meant to improve the quality of RE9. But anyway, some of you may enjoy it. I’ve included a video for it at the end of the article. So, be sure to watch it.
Speaking of Resident Evil Requiem, there’s also a mod that increases the number of zombies you’ll encounter. It adds multiple zombie types across different areas, and enemies now have contextual behaviors such as cleaning, patrolling, and guarding. Best of all, the mod works on all difficulty levels.
There is also another mod that aims to make Leon S. Kennedy feel more like John Wick. To be more precise, the mod lets you instantly execute an enemy with a gun, regardless of remaining health. I’m not a fan of this mod. But hey, if you want a John Wick “Easy” Mode, this mod is for you.
>> The article has two videos, one for the Michael Jackson mod and another for the mod that adds more enemies.

Bloodborne PC Remaster Mod V0.99.57 Gets Better Textures, AA & DoF
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/bloodborne-pc-remaster-mod-v0-99-57-gets-better-textures-aa-dof/
Modder ‘fromsoftserve’ has released a brand new version of his PC remaster mod for Bloodborne. So, let’s see what this new version brings to the table.
Version 0.99.57 re-enables and improves the in-game anti-aliasing and DoF. As such, you no longer have to use Reshade to use them. Moreover, it has all the tweaks and improvements that the modder made in version 0.99.4.
Going into even more details, fromsoftserve updated Hemwick (baked shadows removal, textures, etc), and Nightmare Frontier (texture upscaling, shininess maps, parallax, etc). He also fixed various bugs and made small player lighting tweaks for some maps.
(...)
You can go ahead and download Bloodborne PC Remaster V0.99.57 from this link. Furthermore, it appears that modders have figured out how to enable SSR reflections in the game. At the end of the article, you can find a video that shows how you can enable them.

Resident Evil Village Just Got a 20GB HD Texture Pack
https://www.dsogaming.com/mods/resident-evil-village-just-got-a-20gb-hd-texture-pack/
Modder ‘PlushRapier145’ has released a new HD Texture Pack for Resident Evil Village. This pack will overhaul almost all of the game’s textures, and it’s around 20GB in size. As such, it’s a must for those who want to replay this RE game on PC.
Going into more details, the modder has used ChaiNNer x4 and Topaz Gigapixel to upscale the original textures. Thus, the new textures retain the art style of the original ones. At the same time, they look sharper and more detailed than before.
Sadly, the modder has not shared a before/after comparison video. However, he did share the following comparison screenshots. So, be sure to check them out as they will give you an idea of what you can expect from it.
Those interested can download the HD Texture Pack from this link. Right now, the mod has been automatically quarantined. This can happen when a modder uploads a big file on NexusMods. My guess is that the download link will become available in a couple of hours. That’s usually what happens in such situations.
Once you download it, you will be able to install it via the Fluffy Mod Manager. All you have to do is drop the mod in the Mods folder and enable it. And that’s it.

Playing World of Warcraft with a controller might become my preferred playstyle thanks to this excellent gamepad-friendly addon that's letting me enjoy Azeroth from my couch
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/world-of-warcraft/playing-world-of-warcraft-with-a-controller-might-become-my-preferred-playstyle-thanks-to-this-excellent-gamepad-friendly-addon-thats-letting-me-enjoy-azeroth-from-my-couch/
After a few years of lapsed subscription, Midnight's launch has lured me back into World of Warcraft. But as someone who works from home, the thing I want most at the end of the day is an escape from my desk, keyboard, and mouse—an impulse that can cut down on my prime dwarf shaman hours.
Thanks to a combination of Blizzard's gradual implementation of controller support, the tireless volunteer effort of gamepad-centric addon creators, and the wonder of low-latency game streaming, I've been enjoying what would've seemed impossible to me when I was playing Vanilla WoW as a preteen: I've been playing World of Warcraft with a controller from the comfort of my couch. And it works really well.
The addon ConsolePort from creator Munk is the crucial component of controller-friendly WoW, which transforms the fairly barebones native gamepad support that Blizzard's been dabbling with since 2020 and fleshes it out with a fully-featured, gamepad-centric UX experience. It's what I'm using in the delve gameplay clip embedded above, where my typical MMO action bar has been replaced with FF14-style clusters of abilities mapped to gamepad buttons.
With some buttons acting as modifiers I can hold to access alternate ability sets, my controller provides more than enough bindings for anything I might need in combat—particularly after Midnight's class pruning. In my gameplay footage, you can see I'm able to fight, loot, and chuck elf defoliant without issue.
(And because I regularly want to turn my brain off, I've also added a traditional action bar just beneath my character so I can quickly see which of my combat abilities the assisted highlight thinks I should use.)
Even with all those additions, controller play can't quite match the precision of standard mouse and keyboard play; I probably wouldn't risk it in mythics, raids, or PvP, and chatting obviously presents some difficulties. I could see DoT-centric specializations finding it particularly frustrating; I'm generally able to hit the targets I intend to, but quickly alternating between enemies to ensure they're all debuffed is a big ask for camera-based targeting. As an eminent WoW casual, though, ConsolePort performs beautifully for all the world questing, delving, and gathering purposes that occupy the vast majority of my time.
