Marathon numbers seem good to me.

Not the outright flop some wanted but perhaps not the smash hit Sony was expecting. Although it does look like the overall reception of the game is improving as players get more accustomed to its systems.

TBH I think at this point what Sony wants from Bungie is for Bungie to make money, any money lol.

After 2 years of layoffs, decreasing interest in Destiny 2, a couple of cancelled games and the ill reception Marathon got after reveal thinking they will get the 3.5B back from Marathon alone would be as unrealistic as when they thought Days Gone was the next big thing lol.

Will these numbers be enough for Bungie to not suffer more layoffs? I hope so and I also hope that Sony valuates how the people playing Marathon are actually happy with the game. If they expect for Destiny 3 to be a success in the future they first need to fix Bungie's name and Marathon seems to be a solid step forward.
