The Sims announces a Creation Club-style Marketplace and Maker program enabling content creators to sell their work directly to players
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/the-sims/the-sims-announces-a-creation-club-style-marketplace-and-maker-program-enabling-content-creators-to-sell-their-work-directly-to-players/
Sims 4 players who want more stuff in their game will soon be able to "discover, purchase, and play" new content via the Sims 4 Marketplace, an "in-game destination" unveiled by EA today. And for those who prefer to make (and sell) that content, it also announced the Sims Maker Program, which will enable approved content creators to publish their work directly to the Sims 4 Marketplace, and earn money for their work.
>> I wonder how long it will be until I share an article about someone abusing this system, like what happened in Fortnite.

Star Citizen studio suffered a data breach in January, and some players aren't happy with the very quiet disclosure that only happened this week
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sim/star-citizen-studio-suffered-a-data-breach-in-january-and-some-players-arent-happy-with-the-very-quiet-disclosure-that-only-happened-this-week/
Star Citizen studio Cloud Imperium has reported a data breach following "a systematic and sophisticated attack," which it says resulted in unauthorized access to some of its backup systems, "including limited access to users' personal data." The studio says it doesn't believe the breach constitutes a safety risk and no financial or payment information was taken, but it's nonetheless facing some criticism for how it disclosed the breach, and how long it took to do so.

Iron Galaxy says the Fallout: New Vegas image it posted yesterday doesn't mean anything: 'We use that slide every month and has nothing to do with anything Fallout being worked on'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/iron-galaxy-says-the-fallout-new-vegas-image-it-posted-yesterday-doesnt-mean-anything-we-use-that-slide-every-month-and-has-nothing-to-do-with-anything-fallout-being-worked-on/
Did you get all wound up and excited and radioactively hot yesterday when I said that, hoo boy, it sure looks like Iron Galaxy is working on a Fallout: New Vegas remaster? If so, well, I might owe you an apology for getting your blood roiled up, because the studio says it's not happening.
"Nope! There is nothing to see here," Iron Galaxy wrote on X in a response to our story. "Sorry to disturb the volcanoes, but that was just a BTS look at our company meeting. We use that slide every month and has nothing to do with anything Fallout being worked on. As you can imagine, we love Fallout, too. Now pardon us as we retreat back into our vault."
>> So they shared a picture with a Fallout related theme but it means nothing? They’re either dumb or someone wasn’t allowed to share this pic yet.

This dice-rolling roguelite is like Balatro on steroids, and its bosses are pure evil
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/roguelike/this-dice-rolling-roguelite-is-like-balatro-on-steroids-and-its-bosses-are-pure-evil/
I spent most of Steam Next Fest playing Balatro-likes—here's a list of seven demos I think you should try—but it wasn't until this weekend when I stumbled upon a nifty dice-roller called Dice A Million.
I've been playing the demo every day since, and you should too, but there's a bonus: if you like it, you don't need to wait for the full version. Dice A Million launched last week and it's on sale for another week.
>> It’s 20% off.

Minecraft has finally revealed the name of its baby mob update, and I honestly didn't think it could get any cuter but here we are

Minecraft has announced the official name of its first drop for 2026, and yes, it's just as cute as its contents. In an official blog post, it was shared that the drop we've been happily calling the "baby mob update" will in fact be called the Tiny Takeover drop.

Overwatch is getting a bunch of Nier: Automata skins and at this point I'm convinced support mains are the only ones spending money on this game

I gotta say, it's been a good time to come back to Overwatch. Five new heroes, plus all of the ones I missed out on in the three or four years I haven't been playing. The Sanrio collaboration that actually had me contemplating playing Widowmaker for the first time in my life. A renewed drive to play the first multiplayer shooter I ever fell in love with. Something I am most definitely going to continue to do now that Blizzard just announced a freakin' Nier: Automata collaboration.

After planning 2 more paid acts, narrative scifi power-washer Ambrosia Sky is instead finishing its story in one free update to 'maximize' its focus on what players loved: 'People got in on that sapphic yearning right away'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/sim/after-planning-2-more-paid-acts-narrative-scifi-power-washer-ambrosia-sky-is-instead-finishing-its-story-in-one-free-update-to-maximize-its-focus-on-what-players-loved-people-got-in-on-that-sapphic-yearning-right-away/
Ambrosia Sky: Act One launched in November 2025 as the first installment of an episodic immersive sim narrative following spacefaring researcher Dalia as she investigates the fungus-overrun ruins of the station she once called home. But while developer Soft Rains initially aimed to complete Ambrosia Sky with two additional paid acts, it's now planning to finish Dalia's story of fungicide and forlorn yearning in Ambrosia Sky: Act Two, launching as a free update later this year.

Arc Raiders devs had to nerf the blueprint drop rate because players are too good at finding them: 'First Wave caches have been handing out a lot of blueprints'
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/third-person-shooter/arc-raiders-devs-had-to-nerf-the-blueprint-drop-rate-because-players-are-too-good-at-finding-them-first-wave-caches-have-been-handing-out-a-lot-of-blueprints/
More tweaks have been dished out for Arc Raiders in its latest patch notes. We've got "a very hot fix" for the Dam Controlled Access Zone, and bug fixes for a snaphook glitch and an issue where arcs would cause drops in performance. But the biggest change is certainly how the drop rate of rare blueprints has been nerfed.
