Well, it would explain why Sony closed Bluepoint (who, by the way, pitched the idea of a Bloodborne port, but FromSoftware said no -PCGamer-). Why would Sony need a studio to make PC ports if they were not going to make them anymore, right?

But I think this comes down to some execs not knowing the market. Some may have thought that, since MSoft has dropped the ball with Xbox and the brand is now almost worthless, they'll sell many more consoles and, with that, many more first party games.

But that's a faulty reasoning. The price of the console will matter more in that regard, as seem by how PS5 sales have stalled lately. And just because you sell more consoles, that doesn't mean that you'll also sell more first party titles, or at least sell enough more units to offset the bigger development costs and the lost revenue from PC ports.

So, as I said from the first day, I don't think they'll do it but, if they're really dumb enough to go with it, it won't be long before they realise their mistake and chage course again.

But anyway, time will tell.
