To me, this reads like one of the remakes BP proposed was the OG GoD games. It makes sense since they even wanted to do a live service game in that world initially. But SSM wanted the GoW remake in house for them and makes sense since that project is only in the early stages. In light of this new information also that it was BP who had initially proposed to do a live service game and then couldn't get any decent ideas greenlit after that, it seems like this is kind of BluePoint's own fault in the end imo.
