Ahh an Amiga vs Atari St thread!! My neighbor and I used to argue which was better back in the day. That was until I got the Amiga 500. When I showed him Shadow of the Beast and his jaw dropped.
The only thing the Atari ST had that was better then the Amiga was a MIDI port. This allowed you to connect a bunch of different music devices to the machine. A lot of musicians used the ST because of this.
IMO the system wars were more fun back then. The difference in graphics and sound was much more pronounced than it is today.
