The PlayStation 2 obviously has the greater legacy because it came out earlier. The switch is obviously the superior console because it came out later. This logic of course only applies because of the comparable total sales of hardware and games and huge mass market appeal. An early console flop does not necessarily have a greater legacy and a modern console flop does not necessarily have a superior experience.
